About me!

Hi Everyone! I’m Ryohji, Founder and Trainer here at .DEPULPED. ✌🏼

I’ve been in the Speciality Coffee Industry since 2016 starting as a baby Barista, and working my way up to Barista Trainer, Authorised SCA Trainer to Head of Coffee.

Working across different companies in different roles with varying approaches has taught me a lot about coffee!

Competition is a big part of my career too as I believe preparing for a competition gives you an opportunity to learn at an accelerated speed!
Some competitions I have entered include:

• UK Cup Tasters Championship (2025 2nd place)

• London Coffee Masters (2024 Champion)

• English AeroPress Championship (2021 Champion)

• UK Barista Championship (Semifinalist)

• UK Brewers Cup (2022 Finalist)

• Extracted Development (2023 Champion)

• Other independant comps (Orea cup, 2 Brews and a lie, etc)
